Alhambra Restaurant provides a Mediterranean dinning experience that stops at ports of call from Lebanon and Greece to Italy, Spain and Portugal. The fresh, healthy fare is served in a setting that's appropriate for family dinning as it is for business lunches or a special date-night dinner. Furthermore, to accommodate varying needs, takeout and catering services are available. Nevertheless, what you'll find most noteworthy here - besides the quality and scratch-made freshness - is Alhambra's multicultural table d'hote prepared with a certain subtropical Miami bravado. For example, to start, popular picks include the Meza Meditterranea (hummus, baba, tabouli, vegetarian dolmades, falafel) and Gambas al Ajillo (large shrimp sautéed in olive oil, garlic and wine). But the Cod Fritters and Bruschetta Alhambra are marvelous, too. The sandwiches are equally international, from Kibbie Burgers and classic Gyros, to baguettes layered with Tomatoes, Chorizo & Cheese or Pork Loin & Manchego. Still, if a fresh salad is on your radar screen, Alhambra has 14 divine alternatives, including Seared Ahi Tuna, Ensalada with Octopus, and Mango & Papaya. Finally, when it comes to entrees, we recommend the Blackened Mahi-Mahi with mango curry sauce, Char-grilled NY Strip Sevilla, and Lamb or Jumbo Shrimp Kebabs. We would only add that Alhambra's fresh-baked desserts are delish (Especially the Flan and Baklava with Pistachios!), and the handpicked international wine list makes for some exceptional food-and-wine pairings.
